Expanding Seaport
![]() To meet the growing needs of boating enthusiasts, Seaport Marine Services is evolving. They are expanding their range of products and enhancing the quality of each client’s experience. New owner/manager Frank Fahringer’s goal is to provide efficient, timely and professional service, whether the client is contemplating the purchase of a new or used boat or is seeking a quote for engine repair. In addition to Yamaha, Key West, Ebbtide, and Triumph brands, Seaport Marine Services is now the sole dealer for Skeeter Bass Boats in the state of Virginia. Customers shopping from home can browse the company website which regularly highlights a selection of new and used boats and marine engines. Current models include: a 2008 Triumph 235 CC, a 2007 Key West 268 CC, and a 2008 Skeeter ZX Series 225. In addition, shoppers who wish to see the extensive range of boats offered by Yamaha, Key West, Ebbtide or Triumph can do so on Seaport’s web link to manufacturer brochures. Bow riders, cruisers and fishing boats can easily be viewed by expanding the thumbnail photos. Available information includes floor plans, standard features and options. Clients may also order specific parts or get a trade-in evaluation via easy-to-use, online forms. The Seaport facility boasts a newly remodeled retail store housing a wide variety of boat related equipment. An ever-expanding inventory includes boat-branded t-shirts and hats, anchors, bilge pumps, fluids, buoys and almost any item a boater might require. There is even a small tackle shop catering to freshwater anglers. Because of Seaport’s close relationship with local vendors, any item not currently in stock can usually be obtained overnight. Frank and his associates at Seaport have been looking for ways to expand their involvement in the Hampton Roads community at large. To these ends, partners at Triumph and Yamaha have graciously donated a complete boat and trailer outfit to be raffled off for the benefit of a local charity. The boat is a Triumph 150CC, powered by a Yamaha 50 HP engine. The boat will be available for viewing at various entertainment venues around the Tidewater area. The winner will be announced in December 2008. For more information, or to purchase tickets, interested parties may contact Seaport directly. Another event worthy of note: beginning this year, Frank and crew will host periodic boat demos at various locations throughout our region. Potential boat owners will be able to take 45 minute test drives to evaluate the ride and performance of a potential purchase. Participation in these events is by reservation only. The most up-to-date schedule of these events can be obtained by calling a Seaport associate. If you enjoy boating, fishing or wakeboarding, Seaport Marine Services can find the right boat for you.
